Instructions
Heat the milk and oil in a saucepan over medium heat for 2 minutes or until the milk comes to a simmer.
Add the flour and stir to combine.
Transfer mixture to the bowl of a stand mixer and beat for 2 minutes or until smooth and cooled slightly.
Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Beat in the cheese until just combined.
Use damp hands to shape tablespoonsful of batter into balls.
Place the balls, 5cm apart, in the air fryer basket.
Cook on 180C for 15 minutes or until golden and puffed.
Repeat with remaining balls and serve.
Pro Tips
Use damp hands when shaping the dough to prevent the batter from sticking to your fingers.
Ensure the milk and oil mixture is heated until it just begins to simmer before adding the flour.
Beat the eggs in one at a time to ensure the dough emulsifies properly.
Space the balls 5cm apart in the air fryer to allow for even expansion and airflow.
