Instructions
Slice off the top of each apple about ½ inch.
Use a small knife or melon baller to remove the core, leaving the bottom intact.
Make vertical cuts around the apple, then horizontal cuts to create a bloomin’ effect, being careful not to cut all the way through.
In a small bowl, mix melted butter, brown sugar, and cinnamon.
Spoon or brush the mixture generously over the apples, letting it seep into the cuts.
Place each apple in the air fryer.
Air fry at 350°F for 15 minutes, or until the apples are tender and edges are slightly crisp.
Transfer to serving bowls and top with vanilla ice cream and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
Pro Tips
Be careful not to cut all the way through the apples when creating the blooming effect.
Ensure the butter and sugar mixture seeps into the cuts for maximum flavor.
Add chopped nuts as an optional topping for extra texture.
